Seller Guide
Learn how to start selling on JiKonnectSoko and grow your business online.
1. Getting Started
1.1 Register an Account
Click "Get Started" on the homepage. Provide your email, phone number, and business details. You’ll receive an OTP for verification.
1.2 Create Your Storefront
After registration, complete your seller profile:
- Store name and logo
- Business description
- Location (town, county)
- Business registration number (optional but required for verification badge)
2. Adding Products
From your seller dashboard, click "Add Product". Provide:
- High-quality photos (at least one)
- Accurate title and description
- Price (in KES)
- Condition (new/used)
- Category and subcategory
- Stock quantity
After submission, your product will be reviewed (if moderation is enabled) and published.
3. Managing Orders & Inquiries
Buyers will contact you via in-app chat or phone. Respond promptly to close sales. You can mark products as "Sold" from your dashboard.
4. Promoting Your Listings
Boost visibility with paid promotions:
- Top Ad – Appears at top of search results (KSH 155/7 days)
- VIP/Premium Ad – Featured on homepage (KSH 520/7 days)
- Urgent Badge – Highlights listing as hot deal (KSH 210/7 days)
- Featured Store – Promote entire storefront (KSH 5,050/30 days)
To promote a product, go to your product list and click "Promote Ad".
5. Analytics & Reporting
Your dashboard provides insights into:
- Product views and clicks
- Chat engagement
- Sales performance
- Best-selling products
6. Seller Code of Conduct
As a seller, you agree to:
- Provide accurate product information
- Not sell prohibited items (counterfeits, illegal goods, weapons, etc.)
- Respond to buyer inquiries professionally
- Resolve disputes fairly
- Respect buyer privacy
Violations may lead to account suspension or legal action.
